In addition to a solid morning and evening skin regimen, a weekly spa night packed with intensive exfoliating treatments will keep your skin smooth, bright, and youthful from head to toe. Depending on your skin type, you may be able to handle more than just one exfoliating treatment a week. Oily skin is usually more resilient and can handle more exfoliation. Start with a once weekly spa night, and work your way up to more exfoliating treatments if you feel like your skin can handle it.
STEP 1: CLEANSE YOUR FACE
Before you apply any treatment, it’s important to start with clean, dry skin. Remove excess oil and impurities sitting on the surface of your skin with a mild cleanser. No matter your skin type, choose a cleanser that’s sulfate-free and gentle to avoid stripping your skin of its natural moisture. Using our Hydrating Gel Cleanser, gently wash your face and pat dry with a soft towel.
STEP 2: DERMAPLANE AWAY DEAD SKIN
Dermaplaning is a non-invasive exfoliation technique that gently shaves away peach fuzz and dead skin cells, giving skin an instantly smoother, brighter look. It used to only be available via in-office treatments, but you can now achieve the same results at home with our patented Dermaplaning Tool. Use the Dermaplaning Tool once a week to resurface and instantly brighten. Start with a completely dry face free of any product. Glide the Dermaplaning Tool across the face, using short strokes. You’ll be able to actually see the dead skin and fine hair come off, and your face will feel noticeably softer.
STEP 3: EXFOLIATE WITH A PEEL
Now that you’ve removed surface cells, it’s time to go a little deeper. After dermaplaning, rinse and dry your face to remove any loose hairs or dead skin. Then, apply a layer of our TCA Multi-Acid Face Peel. This gentle yet super effective formula harnesses the power of 5 different acids to brighten your skin and speed cell turnover. The peel self-neutralizes, which means you don’t have to wash it off. If the peel feels extra spicy on your skin, roll with our Ice Roller until it cools down. The peel contains hydrating ingredients, so you can skip moisturizer until the following day. You may notice some skin peeling the next day--it’s a good thing! Peeling is a sign that the formula is working to accelerate your cell turnover and reveal the soft, glowing skin that’s waiting underneath. You can use this peel 2-3 times per week depending on your skin sensitivity.
STEP 4: TREAT YOUR BODY
Body bumps, flaky skin, and rough patches are all signs that your body needs some serious exfoliation. Ditch the body scrub (which can cause more harm than good) and try a moisturizing body peel like our TCA Multi-Acid Body Peel. It’s made with the same high-quality exfoliating acids as our face peel, in higher concentrations strong enough for the thicker skin on your body. It can help brighten hyperpigmented areas, soften keratosis pilaris, and even soothe eczema. Simply dry off after showering and brush the peel all over your body, avoiding sensitive areas. Like our face peel, it self-neutralizes so you can dress immediately after it dries. Avoid applying body lotion for at least a day to give the peel time to do its thing. Use the peel 2-3 times per week if your skin isn't sensitive.
