With our customized process, even people with healthy skin can benefit from the added nutrients that our micro needling procedure provides. Many of our clients experience softer, suppler skin even after the first treatment.
The Kerry Benjamin Micro Needling Process
Our micro-needling procedure uses a unique process that is customized to your skincare needs. Our process begins with a relaxing cleanse using top of the line products followed by extractions. Next, we prepare your skin by gently removing the top layer of dead skin cells and infusing corrective serums using the SilkPeel microdermabrasion procedure.
Then, the dermal roller is “rolled” across your skin in a specific pattern to deliver nutrients from the serums to the skin cells deep beneath the epidermis. Another layer of serum is applied after the procedure is complete to allow for maximum uptake of nutrients as the skin begins to heal. One of the most unique aspects of this process is that the dermal roller punctures the skin allowing up to 80% of the product to penetrate to the cells in the epidermis. Normally only about 7%-10% of the product that we use on our skin ever penetrates that deep.
Although the top layer of skin is being punctured, micro-rolling does not hurt. Instead, most clients report a tingle similar to a glycolic peel and will experience a slight redness or feeling of tightness to the treated areas for a few hours after the procedure. Unlike other procedures, micro needling does not produce any downtime and results can be seen within a few sessions. We can also combine our micro needling treatment with the SilkPeel procedure, which can be performed prior to the dermal rolling. The benefit to this is even greater oxygenation of the skin and uptake of nutrients.
For best results, we suggest a package of six sessions over the course of two to three months, spaced no more than two weeks apart, along with an at home care kit that can be purchased during your visit.

Q. How Does Micro Needling Work?
A. Microneedling is a procedure that has been around since the 1950’s and has been proven to show significant improvement in skin texture, firmness and elasticity. It works by using a device called a “dermal roller,” which is covered in fine, thin stainless steel needles which are “rolled” over the skin. The needles used during this procedure are short and only target the upper layer of the epidermis. The top layer of skin is punctured leaving microscopic channels that maximize the penetration of nutrients, stimulate cell repair and the proliferation of new cell growth. This allows for cell regeneration and the uptake of nutrients by skin cells deep beneath the surface. The key to needling, however, is the healing response that this process stimulates, whereby releasing several key growth factors for optimal cell turnover.
