Can I use the Micro-roller to help improve the areas around my eyes?
You can use the Collagen Boosting MicroRoller under your eye for bags and dark circles, just be super careful. For under the eye, dab a small amount of StackedSkincare’s HA Hydrating Serum to smooth out fine lines. To use your MicroRoller, gently roll under eye area and on crow’s feet. Never roll or apply serums on the eyelid area. Watch our quick video on Instagram on how to safely do this.
Do I need to put anything on my skin before I microneedle?
You don't have to, but the main point of these rollers is to drive active ingredients down deeper to really affect change in your skin. I specifically designed my serums to go with the rollers for various skin concerns.
Can the micro-roller be used if I use Retin-A?
Absolutely! In fact, recommended. You can even use the retin-a after you use the roller. I recommend testing out a small patch on your cheek before doing your whole face. Wait 24 hours to make sure there is no adverse reaction.
I am in my 60's with very dry skin and starting some cheek sagging. Along with your roller what other serums or creams would you suggest for me?
It's super important to exfoliate in order to feel hydrated. It will also help with the fine lines and overall restoring dewiness to your skin. My first recommendation is our TCA Multi Acid Face Peel. It gently exfoliates and will leave your skin hydrated and glowing after only a couple of weeks. Daily, I recommend using our HA Hydrating Serum combined with our Micro-Roller. It will leave your skin super hydrated, and pairing it with the roller will plump you up! Use the serum twice daily and use the roller 5 times a week.
When I micro-roll do I have to use a serum or for example, just use my usual night cream, or even coconut/rosehip oil?
I recommend using it with one of our serums. The roller will drive the active ingredients from the serums deeper to really effect change in your skin. Apply your night cream or oil after rolling.
I know after using the micro-roller, your skin is much more capable of absorbing whatever product you put on, so should I just moisturize?
It's ideal to use a serum, that's what will affect change in the skin, the active ingredients in the serum. Moisturizers are intended to occlude or "seal" in ingredients and protect your skin. You can use moisturizer after the roller, but I recommend using a serum first.
I don't have many serums right now, but I have face oil. Would this be a good product to use after Micro-rolling?
Just be sure it’s a noncomedogenic (or non pore clogging) product. Serums are ideal before and after rolling, and then apply moisturizer or oil to seal it in.
Anything I should totally avoid with the micro-roller?
Don't roll with Vitamin C, it's too active and can cause irritation or an adverse reaction. If you use retin-a, do a spot test and wait 24 hours after rolling before applying all over your face.
Is there anyone who shouldn’t try micro-needling, and why?
Yes! Anyone with active acne should NEVER micro-needle. They can spread bacteria around their face and will only make the acne irritated and inflamed.
Will I experience any downtime?
Our MicroRoller is a pain free and highly effective at-home procedure with no downtime. Combined with our serums, you can treat concerns such as hyperpigmentation, fine lines, dryness, uneven texture, and skin sagging.
Can I combine microneedling with other treatments?
You can also combine micro-needling with a light peel prior to rolling once a week to optimize your results. The benefit is even greater exfoliation and uptake of nutrients.
