Why Argon Gas — and Why Every Face Electrode Is the Same Color
There are two gases used in high frequency devices, and they do different things.
Argon gas glows purple-violet. It's the gas that targets acne — bacteria, inflammation, active breakouts. Every face electrode in this device is argon, on purpose.
Neon gas glows orange. We only use neon in the comb electrode, where it stimulates the hair follicle to support healthier hair growth on the scalp.

Why should I use gauze or tissue with the high-frequency device?Placing a layer of gauze or tissue between the electrode and your skin creates a little distance — and the further the electrode is from the skin, the deeper the treatment penetrates. The gauze also helps the electrode glide smoothly, making it easier to maneuver around your face.

What are the different electrode shapes used for?The mushroom electrode is for full-face passes over larger areas like the cheeks and forehead. The spoon is interchangeable with the mushroom based on preference, and can also be used under the eyes (updated to add under-eye use). The pointy electrode is for spot-treating individual blemishes, active cysts, and isolated breakouts. The comb electrode uses neon gas and is for the scalp only — never use it on the face.
